Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD, a member of Underground Infrastructure Industrial Cluster, demonstrated trenchless methods for construction and rehabilitation of pipelines during the two-day Technical seminars with demonstrations of underground infrastructure technologies held from 11th to 19th March in Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna.
The event was realized by Underground Infrastructure Industrial Cluster /UIIC/ as part of the implementation of the strategy of the organization for raising the awareness of the specialists from the infrastructure construction sector of the modern technologies for improvement of the underground infrastructure, in compliance with the European and international quality and environmental protection standards.
Apart from the demonstration of modern methods for ecological construction and maintenance, Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD also took part in the Technical seminar and presented films from sites where these technologies were applied for solving the problems of the worn-out pipeline system in the country.
The modern underground infrastructure technologies like Horizontal Directional Drilling, Microtunnelling, Casing Pipe Ramming Using a Pneumatic Rammer, Cured-in-place Pipe and Spirally Wound in Place Pipe roused great interest among the guests to the events: representatives of the state and local authorities, managers of the water companies, technical managers from municipalities and water supply and sewerage companies, designers and infrastructure construction companies.
This important event was realized thanks to project "Promotion of the development of modern technologies for construction and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure" with the financial support of Operational Programme “Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy” 2007-2013, co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
