A rehabilitation of outlet sewer, WWTP Provadia, was implemented by the team of Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD. For this purpose Cured-in-Place Pipe technology was used. The repair of the sewage facility (length 190 m, diameter 400 mm, material – asbestos cement) became necessary due to its damaged integrity. The application of a trenchless technology for its repair ensured the fast restoring of the pipeline functionality without restricting the traffic on the only road which provides access to the waste water treatment plant. The rehabilitation is a part of a large project for reconstruction and modernization of the sewerage and the waste water treatment plant of the town of Provadia. The works on the project started at the end of 2012 and are funded under the operational programme “Environment” and the state budget. The main contractor is Provaton Consortium, the leading partner of which is Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD.
